Contributing to the Development of Local Culture and Arts
BNK Kyongnam Bank is making various efforts to contribute to the development of local culture and arts.
On July 30, BNK Kyongnam Bank delivered a sponsorship fund of 140 million won to the Kyongnam Opera Company.
Bank President Kim Taehan presented a sponsorship certificate to Kyongnam Opera Company Chairman Jung Youngsik and General Director Jung Insook, who visited the bank's headquarters.
The sponsorship fund of 140 million won provided by BNK Kyongnam Bank will be used for the operation of the Kyongnam Opera Company and for hosting commemorative opera events marking its foundation.
BNK Kyongnam Bank has supported the Kyongnam Opera Company every year to promote the development of local culture and arts, and has also hosted opera viewing events that invited local residents and customers free of charge.
President Kim Taehan stated, "BNK Kyongnam Bank is pursuing various social contribution projects for local residents under the principle of 'growing together with the community.' We expect that the Kyongnam Opera Company, supported by our sponsorship, will present high-quality opera performances that bring both enjoyment and inspiration to local residents. We will continue to show love and interest in the development of local culture and arts in the future."
Meanwhile, in May, BNK Kyongnam Bank held the "Opera World Tour with BNK Kyongnam Bank" event at the Changwon Seongsan Art Hall Grand Theater to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the bank's founding.
About 1,300 customers and local residents invited to the event listened to stories about the countries and cities featured in opera works and enjoyed a wonderful performance by the Kyongnam Opera Company.
