Iksan Accelerates Efforts to Become a Hub City for the Hologram Industry

Investment Agreement Signed with Idea Platz Co., Ltd. and Epin Co., Ltd.

Iksan City in North Jeolla Province is accelerating efforts to establish itself as a hub city for the hologram industry, which is emerging as a future high-tech sector.


On July 30, the city signed an investment agreement with Idea Platz Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Byungsoo) and Epin Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeon Youngmi) at the city hall's small conference room.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Jung Heon Yul of Iksan, the CEOs of both companies, and Choi Daegyu, Director of the Jeonbuk Digital Convergence Center. Through this agreement, the city plans to foster future industries based on hologram technology and attract advanced companies to create a sustainable industrial ecosystem.


Idea Platz Co., Ltd., headquartered in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, is a company specializing in immersive hologram technology. It develops a variety of products, including artificial intelligence (AI) holograms, hologram photo booths, and hologram kits, and has been recognized for its technological capabilities at exhibitions.


Epin Co., Ltd., headquartered in Sasang-gu, Busan, is an applied software development company with differentiated technologies such as a metaverse combat training simulator and a 3D hologram shooting system. In particular, the company has secured technological competitiveness through multiple patents, including a laser shooting system and a screen archery system.


Along with attracting companies, the city is implementing various support policies for demonstration and commercialization, including support for business validation, commercialization of experiential technologies, support for industrial expansion, and validation of core technologies. The city is making every effort to create an ecosystem to vitalize the hologram industry.


Mayor Jung Heon Yul stated, "The hologram industry is a core driver of future growth, and we will strengthen tailored support and cooperation so that promising companies with technological competitiveness can settle and grow stably in Iksan."
