Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) deployed two guide robots on July 30 in the public open space at its Gwanggyo headquarters in Suwon.
The robots are stationed on the lobby floor and the third floor, which are public open spaces at the GH Gwanggyo headquarters. They provide practical services to visitors, including: guiding major housing sale announcements, introducing various residential welfare content, offering directions and escorting visitors within the building, providing weather and fine dust information, and taking photos with visitors.
This is the second project in GH's 'digital-based public service innovation,' following the introduction of eight autonomous quarantine robots last year for air purification and floor sterilization.
To create 'GH's unique guide robots,' GH conducted an in-house naming contest and customized the robot appearance.

Previously, from July 21 for five days, GH selected the names 'Jihani' (GH + a character named 'Run Hani', symbolizing a robot that guides brightly) and 'Logi' (Robot + GH + Information, a robot providing GH information) from over 70 entries as the official names for the guide robots.
Lee Jongseon, acting president of GH, stated, "Following last year's introduction of quarantine robots and this year's launch of guide robots, GH is establishing itself as a robot-friendly public corporation. We will continue to actively utilize Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies to expand smart public services that residents can truly experience."
