Korea GSK Appoints Gunnar Riediger as New CEO

On July 30, Korea GSK announced that Gunnar Riediger will be appointed as the new CEO effective August 1.

CEO Riediger joined GSK in 2004 through the company's global talent development program, the Future Leaders Program, and has led healthcare operations across Latin America for more than 20 years. He has held key positions such as Head of Vaccines for GSK Brazil, Head of the Biotech Division, and Global Vaccine Market Lead. As an experienced leader, he has been recognized for maximizing the potential of GSK's pipeline and pioneering innovative go-to-market strategies. He has also delivered outstanding results by continuously investing in leadership development programs focused on 'challenging thinking' and 'accountability.'


Since 2023, CEO Riediger has served as the CEO of GSK Colombia, where he successfully launched major products in the vaccines, specialty medicines, and oncology portfolios. Under his leadership, GSK Colombia was named the 'fastest-growing multinational pharmaceutical company in Colombia in 2024.'


CEO Riediger stated, "I am pleased to join Korea GSK, which has achieved outstanding results so far," and added, "I look forward to leading a new chapter of growth for Korea GSK by continuously supplying innovative vaccines and medicines that improve the quality of life for Korean patients and by strengthening collaboration for the development of the domestic biopharmaceutical industry."
