According to the county on July 30, "Bandi Friends" are event staff, and the total number of recruits is 210, including 10 managers for each field. Applicants must be between 19 and 70 years old as of the announcement date (April 23), and residents of Muju-gun will be given preference. Applications can be submitted through the Muju Firefly Festival website, and successful candidates will be notified individually after the first document screening and the second interview.

Kim Kwangyong, head of the Muju Firefly Festival Support Team, stated, "As this is the first time and the largest number of Bandi Friends will be deployed, we expect not only to improve visitor convenience but also to increase local residents' participation and create jobs, achieving a triple benefit. Above all, we anticipate that the 29th Muju Firefly Festival will see improvements in both efficiency and quality."
