Green MG Campaign
Supporting 62 Elderly Individuals from Underprivileged Groups
in Celebration of the 62nd Anniversary
Saemaul Geumgo announced that it has donated 100 million won to the Senior Medical Sharing Foundation to support knee surgery costs for elderly individuals from underprivileged groups. This donation is part of the "Green MG Good Day for Walking" campaign, which was held in May in celebration of Saemaul Geumgo's founding anniversary and the Day of Regional Coexistence.
This campaign has been running for five consecutive years since 2021. This year, the campaign surpassed its goal of one billion steps, achieving a total of 1.54 billion steps. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to support knee surgery costs for 62 elderly individuals from underprivileged groups, in celebration of the 62nd anniversary of Saemaul Geumgo's founding.
Kim In, Chairman of Saemaul Geumgo Federation, stated, "I would like to thank everyone for their enthusiastic support for the 'Green MG Good Day for Walking' campaign throughout the month of May." He added, "Moving forward, both Saemaul Geumgo and the Saemaul Geumgo Federation will continue to evolve as a cooperative for local communities and ordinary citizens, based on Saemaul Geumgo's own environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management value system, which includes green, social, and human values."
