The National Jeongdong Theater and the Daegu Arts Center under the Daegu Foundation for Arts and Culture announced on the 30th that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a mutual cooperation system. This aims to revitalize culture and the arts, expand public access to cultural experiences, and promote the development of both institutions.
The signing ceremony was held on the 29th in the main conference room of the National Jeongdong Theater. Based on their human and material resources, the two organizations agreed to pursue various exchanges and collaborations to promote the sustainable development of culture and the arts, and to contribute to strengthening cultural and artistic networks at both regional and national levels.

The main points of the agreement include mutual exchange between municipal and national arts organizations affiliated with each institution, joint production and exchange of performance content and existing repertoires, joint invitations of outstanding overseas works, and mutual exchange of human resources. As Kim Heecheol, the director of the Daegu Arts Center, previously served as the 8th CEO of the National Jeongdong Theater, close communication and organic collaboration between the two organizations are anticipated.
Jung Sungsook, CEO of the National Jeongdong Theater, stated, "This MOU marks a meaningful first step for the National Jeongdong Theater and the Daegu Arts Center to seek a new leap forward in Korean performing arts together," adding, "Through the organic cooperation between the two institutions, we will contribute to the balanced development of culture and the arts in both Seoul and Daegu, and strive to offer even more diverse cultural and artistic experiences to the public."
