Gyeonggi Province Recruiting 20 Members for Public Design Contest National Evaluation Panel

Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting 20 members of the National Evaluation Panel to participate in the final judging of the 'Gyeonggi Province Public Design Contest' until August 8.

This year marks the 19th anniversary of the Gyeonggi Province Public Design Contest, which will be held under the theme of 'Public Design Utilizing Renewable Energy.'

Through this contest, Gyeonggi Province aims to discover creative designs that harmoniously integrate renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy into everyday spaces, in order to find eco-friendly public design models that can be applied to urban environments in the era of carbon neutrality.

Previously, Gyeonggi Province accepted a total of 100 entries through online submissions last month and selected 20 finalists through the first round of judging. In the final judging scheduled for August 21, both the National Evaluation Panel and the panel of experts will jointly evaluate the entries to select the top 10 works.

Kang Gilsun, Director of Architectural Policy at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "In an era where the importance of renewable energy is increasing, the role of the National Evaluation Panel is crucial in selecting creative public design ideas to build a sustainable and eco-friendly city," and added, "We look forward to the participation of those interested in public design."
