The repair service for flooded agricultural machinery will be available until August 1. Provided by Naju City

Naju City in South Jeolla Province announced that it has been conducting repairs on agricultural machinery damaged by flooding from the heavy rains that occurred between July 16 and July 20. The repairs began on July 25 and will continue until August 1.

According to Naju City on July 29, the recent heavy rainfall caused significant damage across the entire city, with a total of 236 small agricultural machines belonging to 88 households in low-lying farmland areas reported to have been flooded.

In response, Naju City has mobilized professional maintenance personnel and mobile repair vehicles from the Agricultural Machinery Rental Center to support the quick resumption of farming activities and alleviate the economic burden on farmers. These teams are carrying out rapid, on-site repairs.

For towns and districts with smaller-scale damage, repair teams are visiting individual farms to inspect and repair machinery. In areas with more extensive damage?Munpyeong, Dasi, Donggang, Seongbuk, and Noan?temporary mobile repair centers have been set up to provide emergency repairs. If major parts need to be replaced, the equipment is transported to the main center for swift repairs.

In particular, to reduce the repair costs for farmers, the city is subsidizing part of the parts costs and providing free repairs for issues that can be resolved on site, offering practical support measures.

Yoon Byungtae, Mayor of Naju, stated, "We are carrying out on-site, close-contact repairs to provide some comfort to farmers affected by unpredictable heavy rains in this era of climate crisis. Through these mobile repair services, we hope to prevent delays in farming operations due to machinery breakdowns and help farmers return to their fields as quickly as possible."

Meanwhile, Naju City is also providing free safety inspections and equipment management training for flooded agricultural machinery alongside the mobile repair services, aiming to prevent secondary breakdowns and safety accidents.
