Guri City Holds Communication Meeting with Senior Job Program Participants
Voices from the Field to Be Actively Reflected through Ongoing On-Site Communication
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 29th that it held a communication meeting on the 25th at the Guri Senior Club (Director Kim Suji), inviting senior citizens participating in the senior job program.

This meeting was organized to directly listen to the voices of seniors participating in the city's senior job program and to reflect their opinions in future municipal administration and policy directions. The meeting was attended by Baek Kyunghyun, Mayor of Guri, Kim Suji, Director of the Guri Senior Club, and approximately 50 participants in the senior job program.
Before the meeting, Mayor Baek Kyunghyun delivered a greeting, stating, "Your experience and dedication are the foundation that makes Guri City healthy and strong," and added, "I will actively strive to create better working environments and more diverse job opportunities."
During the meeting, various questions were raised and opinions were freely exchanged on-site. In particular, the seniors presented a range of suggestions, including the expansion of quality job opportunities, the restoration project of Inchangcheon Ecological Stream, and support for job spaces.
Kim Suji, Director of the Guri Senior Club, said, "I hope that the heartfelt suggestions made by the seniors today will be reflected in our policies," and added, "We will continue to provide opportunities for on-site communication and actively reflect the opinions from the field."
Taking this meeting as an opportunity, Guri City plans to further accelerate the establishment of policies aimed at improving the quality of life for seniors and expanding their participation in society.
Meanwhile, the 'Guri Senior Club' is a dedicated institution supporting senior jobs and social activities within Guri City. A total of 1,291 seniors are participating, including 845 in public interest activity programs (11 teams), 206 in community project teams (7 teams), and 240 in senior capacity utilization programs (9 teams), providing customized senior job opportunities.
