A Collaborative Stage by Local Artists and Arts Organizations...
Shedding New Light on the Identity of Daegaya
Goryeong County is holding the "Nostalgic Daegaya Artists Song Festival" and taking a commemorative photo.
This performance was centered around collaborative works by lyricist Kim Hyungkyu, a native of Goryeong who wrote the lyrics for the song "Longing for Daegaya," and composer Park Kyungkyu.
On stage, top domestic vocalists such as soprano Yoo Soyoung, baritone Kim Seungcheol, and tenor Kim Hyunjun delivered moving performances. The Goryeong Writers' Association and the Goryeong County Choir also participated, creating a stage that highlighted the collaboration among local arts organizations.
For the final performance, all the participants joined together to sing "Goryeong Arirang" and "Longing for Daegaya," receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Shin Taeun, Director of the Goryeong Cultural Center, commented, "It was a meaningful occasion that expanded creative opportunities for local artists and helped discover unique cultural content for Goryeong."
Governor Lee Namcheol stated, "This was a great opportunity to widely promote the identity and cultural assets of Daegaya Goryeong, a city designated as both a World Cultural Heritage site and an ancient capital," and added, "We will strive to provide more opportunities for culture and the arts in the daily lives of our residents."
