Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jung Chulwon) announced on the 28th that it conducted a training session for around 30 field workers from township offices, public health centers, and welfare centers at the Damyang Eco Center on the 25th, focusing on the integrated medical and care support project.

This training was organized to help participants understand the revised integrated assessment system and to share methods for identifying service recipients and establishing effective connection strategies. In addition to the training, representatives from various health-related institutions?including home medical centers, visiting health management, dementia safety centers, and mental health welfare centers?gathered to discuss local case management strategies and cooperation plans.

To prepare for the nationwide implementation of the integrated medical and care support project in March next year, the county has been carrying out a pilot project led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare since last year, providing and linking various services to those in need of care.

A county official stated, "This training has laid the foundation for the integrated operation of local medical and care services," and added, "We will continue to focus on ongoing education and system improvements to establish a resident-centered welfare system."
