4,508 Units Sold in Q2, Surpassing the Cybertruck

The Hummer EV, an American premium pickup SUV from the GMC brand, is establishing a strong presence in the North American electric vehicle market. Known as the "world's first electric super truck," the Hummer EV differentiates itself in the market by combining electrification technology, off-road performance, and a premium sensibility.
According to Cox Automotive, a U.S. automotive market research agency, on July 28, the Hummer EV sold a total of 4,508 units in the North American market during the second quarter, surpassing its main competitor in the electric pickup segment, the Tesla Cybertruck.
The highest trim level of the Hummer EV is equipped with three electric motors, delivering a maximum output of approximately 1,000 horsepower and a maximum driving range of 367 miles (about 591 km), offering powerful performance. It is noted that, even after transitioning to electrification, its performance exceeds that of traditional internal combustion engines.
Additionally, the Hummer EV is equipped with a range of features rarely seen in existing electric vehicles, such as "CrabWalk," which allows the vehicle to move sideways using an electronic four-wheel steering system, and "WTF" mode, an acceleration mode that enables 0 to 60 mph in about three seconds. The latest driver assistance system, "Super Cruise," also supports hands-free driving on highways.
The Hummer EV is one of the first models designed based on GM's advanced battery platform and is available in both pickup and SUV body types. Leveraging the technology of this platform, the Hummer EV is evaluated as a model that satisfies all the requirements for electric vehicles, including scalability, power, and efficiency.
