Spectacular 700-Drone Light Show Draws Awe

South Jeolla Province's Goheung County (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 28th that the '2025 Goheung Drone Summer Beach Festa,' held on the 26th at Namyeol Sunrise Beach in Yeongnam-myeon, concluded successfully with the participation of over 3,000 tourists and local residents.

This festival was organized to revitalize the local economy by integrating the drone industry, which Goheung County is actively promoting, with marine tourism, and to offer residents and tourists a unique summer festival experience. Through this event, Goheung was able to widely promote its image as a drone-centered city across the country.

During the festival, the national drone fishing competition and drone soccer tournament were held with great enthusiasm from participants, and were considered highlights of the event.

In the drone soccer tournament, participants of all ages, from teenagers to adults, showcased their excellent piloting skills and teamwork in thrilling matches. The drone fishing competition went beyond a simple contest, serving as an opportunity to demonstrate the potential of drone leisure culture.

Additionally, the event site featured drone experience booths and spaces designed for all generations to enjoy, particularly catering to families and local youth. The nighttime celebration performance set against the backdrop of the Goheung sea, along with a large-scale drone light show featuring 700 drones, captivated the audience and provided a spectacular finale.

A county official stated, "By combining the future industry of drones with the summer beach, we have created a differentiated local festival," adding, "We will continue to discover and develop various events linked to diverse content to further enhance Goheung's image as a representative drone city."

Meanwhile, the county plans to present a variety of content by holding a 700-drone swarm show every Saturday at 9 p.m. at Nokdong Port Sea Garden and a monthly fireworks show at sea until October.
