The Gyeongsan City Family Center (Director: Jung Yoohee) operated an "Ecology-Based Career Exploration Camp" for 19 upper-grade elementary school students from multicultural families over three days and two nights, from July 25 to July 27, in collaboration with the National Youth Ecology Center of the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency.
The purpose of this camp was to help youth broaden their self-understanding and career awareness through ecological experiences and career exploration activities. It was also intended to foster social skills and relationship-building abilities by engaging in cooperative activities with peers.
The participating youth took part in a variety of programs, including forest ecology tours, hands-on experiences related to ecology careers, and team projects. Through these activities, they learned in nature and had the opportunity to expand their perspectives on future careers.
Director Jung Yoohee stated, "I hope this camp will serve as an opportunity for children from multicultural families to deepen their understanding of the ecological environment and to reflect on their own career paths," and added, "We plan to continue offering a variety of programs to support the healthy growth and self-exploration of children."
