XR content specialist company Skonec Entertainment (CEO Park Woncheol) announced on July 28 that its newly developed game 'Who's at the Door?' has surpassed 35,000 downloads on Steam within just one week of its release.
This achievement is attributed to word-of-mouth among global users and continued positive user reviews following its official launch on July 18. In particular, downloads and wishlist numbers surged after a famous Indonesian YouTuber with 24.5 million subscribers released a gameplay video of the title.
In fact, 'Who's at the Door?' recorded over 2,000 downloads per day immediately after its launch, and as of July 21, single-day sales exceeded 5,000 units, demonstrating a steady upward trend. Total cumulative sales have now surpassed 30,000 units, and the average playtime is over one hour, indicating a high level of user engagement.
A Skonec representative stated, "'Who's at the Door?' is leaving a strong impression on both domestic and international users with its psychological horror and immersive narrative, and is achieving results beyond expectations in the indie horror genre. In particular, as the viral effect linked to video content has been proven, we plan to further expand our fan base by strengthening global-targeted advertising and SNS campaigns."
Based on this success, Skonec plans to sequentially launch digital performance marketing campaigns targeting the US and European markets by September. In addition, the company aims to collaborate with Chinese and global influencers to spread SNS content, distribute shorts and demo videos, and create real-time play review content, focusing on user acquisition and community building.
Meanwhile, 'Who's at the Door?' is a first-person interactive horror game centered on psychological tension surrounding an unknown presence beyond a door. With its unique direction and immersive storyline, it is gaining attention in the indie game market. It is currently available for download by global users on the Steam platform.
