Advancing AI Solutions for Power, Factories, and Data Centers
LS Electric is set to collaborate with Naver Cloud on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company aims not only to accelerate the AI transformation (AX) of its power systems and data center businesses, but also to drive further market expansion through this partnership.
On July 28, LS Electric and Naver Cloud announced that they had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation on AI and cloud-based power and data center solutions at Naver's headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Through this partnership, an AI agent powered by Naver Cloud’s AI models will be integrated into LS Electric’s power equipment diagnostic solution. This is designed to enhance customer convenience by enabling even non-experts to easily manage power equipment.
In addition, the companies plan to cooperate in several areas: demonstration and development of AI solutions specialized for power and data centers; collaboration on cloud-based manufacturing execution systems (MES) and factory energy management systems (FEMS) solutions for manufacturing companies; and joint development and migration of cloud solutions tailored to the manufacturing sector. In particular, LS Electric intends to integrate AI and cloud technologies into its core smart factory solutions, such as MES and FEMS, while also seeking new business opportunities based on these advancements.
Furthermore, LS Electric plans to leverage Naver Cloud’s AI, cloud, and edge computing infrastructure capabilities across its power, smart factory, and data center solutions, with the goal of expanding into a wide range of industrial sectors.
LS Electric CEO Chae Daeseok stated, "By combining LS Electric’s expertise in providing total solutions for power equipment and smart factories with Naver Cloud’s AI capabilities?delivering optimized AI solutions for the industry through hyperscale cloud?we will continue to advance our solutions into 'AI Power,' 'AI Factory,' and 'AI Data Center.'"
Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yuwon commented, "This is a meaningful partnership that has demonstrated the real potential for industrial transformation by applying generative AI and cloud technology to manufacturing sites. We will strive to expand Naver Cloud’s infrastructure and AI/software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to a broader range of manufacturing environments, including those of LS Electric."
