Gyeonggi Province is recruiting members for the 'Gyeonggi-do Youth Participation Organization' until August 17, in order to support young people in developing youth policies.
Youth committee members will freely discuss and propose solutions to local issues, and will participate directly in the actual policy-making process, going beyond simply offering opinions.
Eligible applicants are young people between the ages of 19 and 39 who, as of July 28, 2025, either reside in Gyeonggi Province, work at a company located in Gyeonggi Province, or attend a university (including graduate school) in Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province plans to select 250 members through qualification screening and interviews, and will hold a launch ceremony on Youth Day, September 20, to officially support the activities of the Youth Participation Organization.
Youth committee members will receive meeting attendance allowances for a variety of policy participation activities, including discovering and proposing youth policies, participating in youth policy forums, and monitoring youth projects. The term of activity is one year, from September 2025 to September 2026.
Youth who wish to participate can apply online through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's Jobaba platform (apply.jobaba.net) until 6:00 p.m. on August 17. For more details, visit the Gyeonggi Youth Portal (youth.gg.go.kr).
Kim Sunhwa, Director of the Youth Opportunity Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The Youth Participation Organization is an important partner in provincial administration, where young people directly discover and create policies," and added, "We hope for active participation so that the diverse voices of youth can be reflected in Gyeonggi Province's policies."
