Recruitment of 150 Companies for the 2nd Round of Tech Service Export Voucher Program
On July 27, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) announced the launch of the '2nd Recruitment for Tech Service Export Voucher Program,' targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) exporting innovative technology-based services such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), Big Data, and SaaS (Software as a Service).
The 'Tech Service Export Voucher' program, introduced for the first time this year, is differentiated from the existing manufacturing-focused general export voucher. It aims to strengthen the export capabilities of early-stage service companies that lack infrastructure and experience in exports.
Through this second round of recruitment, KOSME plans to select approximately 150 companies and provide vouchers of up to 50 million KRW per company. The corporate contribution rate is 30%. Eligible applicants are SMEs operating in tech service sectors such as AI, SaaS, security solutions, games, movies, animation, and edutech.
Selected companies can utilize the dedicated tech service voucher menu within the export voucher program to choose and use services such as cloud utilization, data center utilization, and user interface improvement.
In addition, companies can also access over 8,000 services from the 14 general voucher menus of the existing export voucher program, including design development, exhibitions, patents and intellectual property rights, and certifications required in the export process.
Kang Sukjin, Chairman of KOSME, stated, "The export of technology-based intangible services is emerging as a new growth engine for Korea's exports, going beyond the manufacturing sector." He added, "This Tech Service Export Voucher program will be a significant opportunity for companies that possess innovative technologies but lack export experience."
