EcoPro Strengthens Worker Safety Measures for Summer Heatwave

EcoPro announced on July 27 that it has strengthened protective measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees in preparation for the summer heat wave.

EcoPro has equipped its workplaces with heatwave emergency kits and automatic blood pressure monitors, as well as other supplies to prevent heat-related illnesses. Employees working in high-temperature environments have been provided with cooling vests, ice packs, and cool sleeves. In addition, the company strictly enforces summer work regulations: when the temperature exceeds 31 degrees Celsius, work is prohibited for more than two hours, and when it exceeds 33 degrees Celsius, employees are required to take a break of at least 20 minutes within every two-hour period. Salt tablets, cooling mats, and ion drinks are also available at the sites.

Chief Executive Officer Song Hojun, along with staff representatives from the Family Council, visited the Ochang headquarters in North Chungcheong Province and the production site in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, to encourage workers by handing out ice cream and snacks. These snacks were also provided to night shift employees. An EcoPro representative stated, "This snack event is intended to foster a culture of respect and encouragement among employees," adding, "We plan to continue organizing various events to strengthen solidarity among our staff."
