Guro District Opens 'Seoul-style Kids Cafe Sindorim Branch'... Operations Begin on the 29th

Play Areas, Pretend Play Zones, Nursing Room, and More

Guro District in Seoul (District Mayor Jang Inhong) announced on the 27th that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Seoul-style Kids Cafe Sindorim Branch' on the 25th, with plans to officially open on the 29th.

The 'Seoul-style Kids Cafe Sindorim Branch' is located on the second floor of Sindorim Seonsang Station at 688 Gyeongin-ro, Guro District, and is directly connected to the subway station, making it convenient for guardians and children to use. With a total floor area of 243.8 square meters, it is equipped with various play areas and amenities, including a slide, ball pool, pretend play area, program room, and nursing room.


The facility is available to children aged 3 to 6 accompanied by a guardian, with up to 18 children per session. Reservations can be made online through the 'Wooridongne Childcare Portal' before visiting.


The Sindorim Branch operates three sessions per day on weekdays (Session 1 at 10:00 a.m., Session 2 at 1:30 p.m., Session 3 at 4:00 p.m.) and four sessions per day on weekends (Session 1 at 9:10 a.m., Session 2 at 11:10 a.m., Session 3 at 2:10 p.m., Session 4 at 4:10 p.m.). On the first day of official operation, a performer dressed as a clown will host a balloon art event to create enjoyable memories for the children.


Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro District, stated, "I am very pleased to have created a space where children can play safely and happily," adding, "We will continue to expand childcare infrastructure to make our city a better place to raise children."


Approximately 70 people attended the opening ceremony, including Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro District, district council members, the president of the daycare center association, and related staff. The district currently operates a total of three Seoul-style Kids Cafes: Gaebong 1-dong Branch, which opened in October last year; Guro 4-dong Branch, which opened in February this year; and now the Sindorim Branch.
