KCA Korea Consumer Evaluation has announced the results of the <2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation 'Hair Designer'> for outstanding hair designers outside the Seoul metropolitan area, hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Evaluation.
The purpose of this evaluation is to realize the eight major consumer rights, including the right to have opinions reflected, the right to receive information, and the right to choose, as guaranteed by Article 4 of the Framework Act on Consumers, by announcing consumer evaluation results by industry according to the standard industrial classification. It also aims to provide consumers with objective and useful information to improve the quality of consumer life.
The 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation 'Hair Designer' is conducted annually to select and introduce to the public outstanding hair designers who have led the development of the domestic beauty industry and provided high-quality hair beauty services, receiving high evaluations from consumers.
The evaluation was conducted through a preliminary survey by dividing the country by region and analyzing the number of reviews on portal reservation sites and similar platforms from May to June. As a result, in areas outside the Seoul metropolitan region, candidates who ranked within the top 15.30% were notified as nominees. The final list of outstanding hair designers consists of 130 individuals, representing only 0.16% of hair designers outside the Seoul metropolitan area, who were selected based on the evaluation criteria outlined below.
Korea Consumer Evaluation selected outstanding hair designers based on the actual experiences of consumers who used hair beauty services, through a final evaluation according to six criteria: kindness, cleanliness, price appropriateness, satisfaction with beauty results, reservation satisfaction, and overall evaluation. The list of selected individuals is as follows.
A representative from Korea Consumer Evaluation stated, "Recently, the hair beauty market has seen a growing interest in hair styling due to the spread of SNS and online platforms, which has increased the demand for professional hair designers." The representative added, "We expect that this announcement will help consumers make rational decisions by providing professional information about hair designers who have received excellent evaluations from customers who have actually used hair beauty services."
The representative also said, "Reflecting the purpose and significance of the Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation, we plan to support the revitalization of household consumption for low-income families through 'Sarangui Yeolmae' (Fruit of Love). In particular, through the 'Child Sponsorship Program,' we provide regular support for living expenses, education, and medical costs to children and adolescents from low-income and vulnerable groups, hoping to contribute, even in a small way, to their healthy childhood and adolescence. We will continue to pay attention and move forward together."
