Haenam County Operates "Visiting Application" Service for Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon

Customized Support for Vulnerable Groups During the Heatwave

South Jeolla Province's Haenam County announced on the 24th that it will operate a "visiting intensive application period" to prevent safety accidents caused by expected congestion and heatwaves during the first week of applications for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon. The county will provide a visiting application service to 155 villages in 14 towns and townships, as well as 24 facilities within the county, until August 1.

During this period, administrative support staff from various departments and township offices in Haenam County will visit community centers and senior centers in person to conduct on-site applications and registrations. Applications will also be accepted at township offices concurrently, allowing residents to choose their preferred method and receive their coupons quickly.

In particular, services for vulnerable groups such as the elderly or people with disabilities who have difficulty moving in the heatwave have been strengthened. Public officials will visit these individuals directly to receive their applications and will deliver the coupons during a follow-up visit.

The county is also operating a visiting application service for residents of local facilities. In cooperation with facility managers, the county is supporting applications by either receiving forms tailored to each facility or allowing direct family members or proxies to apply. In Haenam, there are two homeless shelters, eighteen senior care facilities, one child care facility, two psychiatric facilities, and one convalescent hospital.

County Governor Myung Hyun-gwan emphasized, "We will focus our administrative efforts so that the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon can be distributed to residents quickly and conveniently," and added, "We expect that this coupon distribution will contribute to revitalizing the local economy, and we will ensure that all residents can benefit without exception."
