Manghyang Rest Area's "Manghyang Sirloin Pork Cutlet" Becomes Best-Selling Menu Item at Daejeon and Chungnam Rest Areas

The best-selling menu item at rest areas in Daejeon and Chungnam was the "Manghyang Sirloin Pork Cutlet" at Manghyang Rest Area.

The Daejeon-Chungnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Expressway Corporation (headed by Lee Hyeok) announced the ranking of the best-selling food items at rest areas within its jurisdiction for the first half of 2025.

Among meal menus, "Manghyang Sirloin Pork Cutlet" at Manghyang (Busan) Rest Area (26,010 servings), "Gongju Chestnut-Fed Korean Beef Soup with Rice" at Gongju (both directions) Rest Area (22,683 servings), and "Seafood Soft Tofu Stew" at Jukam (Seoul) Rest Area (18,694 servings) ranked first, second, and third, respectively.

The sirloin pork cutlet, which took first place, is a deep-fried pork cutlet served with a special fruit sauce made with pineapple and other fruits. It is recognized as a menu that can be enjoyed by people of all ages without burden.

Following this, the "Gongju Chestnut-Fed Korean Beef Soup with Rice" at Gongju Rest Area ranked second in sales volume, despite being located on the Dangjin-Yeongdeok Expressway, which has relatively low traffic. It received high praise for its overall food quality compared to its relatively affordable price of 10,500 won.

In addition, regional specialty menus such as "Park Sunja Aunae Sundae Soup with Rice" at Ipjang Geobong Grape (Seoul) Rest Area and "Ubo Seolleongtang" at Buyeo Baekje (both directions) Rest Area ranked fourth and sixth, respectively, drawing attention.

Signature menu items at each rest area, including "Spicy Soft Tofu Stew" at Cheonan Walnut (Busan) Rest Area, "Beef Soup with Rice" at Haengdamdo (both directions) Rest Area, "Byeongcheon Sundae Soup with Rice" and "Pork Kimchi Stew" at Cheonan Samgeori (Seoul) Rest Area, also made it into the TOP 10, proving their continued popularity among customers.
