Supporting Flooded Areas with Debris Removal
Donations to Be Used for Relief Supplies and Recovery Efforts Through the Chungnam Branch of the Red Cross
Chungnam Research Institute (President Jeon Heekyung) is conducting volunteer flood recovery activities in the areas of Gongju City and Hongseong County, which suffered significant damage from heavy rainfall, for two days starting from July 24.
About 40 executives and staff members, including President Jeon Heekyung, participated in these volunteer activities, assisting with environmental cleanup such as collecting floating debris caused by flooding in the Sagok-myeon area of Gongju City.
On July 25, they plan to move to the Geumma-myeon and Hongbuk-myeon areas of Hongseong County to continue their recovery support efforts.
President Jeon Heekyung said, "I would like to offer my condolences to the residents who have lost their homes and are going through difficult times due to the heavy rain," and added, "I sincerely hope that everyone will regain stability and return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
She also stated, "We will further strengthen our policy research for disaster prevention and response in the province."
Meanwhile, Chungnam Research Institute plans to donate funds raised internally to the Chungnam branch of the Korean Red Cross to support local residents affected by the heavy rainfall.
The donated funds will be used to provide emergency relief supplies and support recovery efforts.
