Hoseo University Provides Admission Information and Scholarship Benefits by Selection Type
at COEX University Information Fair with Participation from 153 Universities
Hoseo University is receiving a strong response from prospective students, parents, and teachers at the "2026 Academic Year Early Admission University Information Fair" currently being held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
According to Hoseo University on July 24, this fair is a large-scale event organized by the Korean Council for University Education, with participation from 153 four-year universities nationwide, and it will continue until July 26.
Hoseo University provided a wide range of information related to university admission, including: ▲2025 admission grade requirements ▲admission guidelines by selection type ▲university specialization areas ▲scholarship programs ▲dormitory and commuting information.
In particular, the university offered guidance on admission elements that applicants are curious about, such as document evaluation and interview methods for each selection type, and also conducted one-on-one personalized counseling to help students make the most of their individual strengths.
For the 2026 academic year early admission, Hoseo University will select 2,589 students (within quota), which is 89.9% of the total number of new students to be admitted.
The main number of students to be selected by admission type are as follows: ▲Student Record-Based (General) 1,264 ▲Student Record-Based (Interview) 264 ▲Comprehensive Student Record (Hoseo Talent) 392 ▲Practical Skills 281.
Additionally, starting this year, interviews for the Comprehensive Student Record (Hoseo Talent, AI, and SW Talent) selection types have been abolished, and evaluation is now based 100% on documents, simplifying the process.
In contrast, for the Student Record-Based (Interview) selection type, the number of departments and students to be recruited has been significantly expanded, providing more opportunities for applicants.
Hoseo University has also been newly selected for major national projects such as ▲RISE Project (44.5 billion KRW) ▲University Innovation Support Project (25 billion KRW) ▲Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Development Project (20 billion KRW), thereby broadening the scope of student support.
Furthermore, based on solid financial resources, the university offers various educational programs and scholarship benefits through projects such as ▲Entrepreneurship-Centered University Project (38 billion KRW) ▲Semiconductor Specialization University Support Project (27 billion KRW) ▲Software-Centered University Project (12 billion KRW).
Applications for the 2026 academic year early admission at Hoseo University will be accepted for five days from Sunday, September 8 to Thursday, September 12.
