On this day, Mayor Jeong checked the operation of air conditioners, maintenance of appropriate indoor temperatures, and the hygiene and cleanliness conditions at the first temporary mobile worker shelter located in Bansong-dong. The temporary mobile worker shelters are booth-type rest areas designed for mobile workers such as substitute drivers, delivery workers, and private tutors. These shelters are equipped with amenities including heating and cooling systems, water dispensers for hot and cold water, mobile phone chargers, and sofas.

Mayor Jeong also visited the smart shelter bus stop installed in Yeongcheon-dong, where he personally checked the proper operation of outdoor air conditioners, indoor air quality, and maintenance of appropriate temperatures, and communicated with citizens. The smart shelter is a booth-type bus stop equipped with air conditioning and air purification systems. In preparation for the heatwave, the city has expanded the number of smart shelter bus stops from 20 to 41 starting this year.

Mayor Jeong emphasized, "Please pay close attention to even the smallest details to ensure that citizens do not experience significant discomfort due to the heatwave," and requested, "Continue to manage and improve these facilities so that they can serve as practical shelters for the elderly, outdoor workers, and public transportation users."

Previously, the city has been operating a 'heatwave emergency situation room' since July 11 to respond swiftly to emergencies until the heatwave advisory is lifted.
