With the progress of the 'Mandatory Installation of Sprinklers in Multi-Family Housing' bill currently being promoted in the National Assembly, Paratech, a leading domestic fire protection equipment specialist, is drawing attention. In particular, if the installation of sprinklers on all floors of multi-residential facilities such as apartments, row houses, and multiplex housing becomes mandatory, Paratech is expected to directly benefit from increased demand for core products including sprinklers.
Kim Mi-ae, a member of the People Power Party, recently proposed the 'Partial Amendment to the Act on Fire Prevention, Installation, Maintenance and Safety Management of Fire-Fighting Systems.' The bill mandates the installation of sprinklers or simplified sprinklers on every floor of multi-family housing above a certain size, and requires management entities to conduct regular inspections and maintenance.
As a result, Paratech, which has led the domestic sprinkler industry for over 50 years, is once again in the spotlight. Paratech was the first company in Korea to localize sprinkler production and currently manufactures high-quality products with international certifications such as UL and FM. The company has supplied its products to key infrastructure including apartments, hospitals, logistics centers, and public facilities.
Notably, Paratech's strengths go beyond simple manufacturing, as it is a total fire protection solution provider capable of design and construction. Its 'one-stop service,' which covers everything from product manufacturing to installation and maintenance, is expected to earn the trust of clients who require both efficiency and stability in remodeling and new equipment projects for multi-family housing that will accelerate following the implementation of the bill.
A company representative stated, "With the recent series of fire incidents in multi-family housing, there is a growing social consensus on the need for sprinkler installation. As a company that has been proactively preparing, Paratech is ready to respond immediately to on-site demand," adding, "We will participate with a sense of responsibility in expanding infrastructure for public safety."
Meanwhile, Paratech is also accelerating its entry into overseas fire protection markets. Based on global certifications in the United States and Europe, the company is pursuing joint ventures in Ukraine, the Middle East, and North America. With this legislative change as an opportunity, Paratech plans to enhance its global competitiveness by advancing its technology and expanding production capacity.
