Chungnam Technopark Discusses Overseas Expansion of Chungcheong Region Companies with Indonesian Central Government

The Chungcheong Metropolitan Alliance (Daejeon, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Chungnam), Korea's first local government coalition, held its first official meeting with the Indonesian central government to support overseas expansion and attract investment for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Chungnam Technopark (President Seo Kyuseok, hereafter Chungnam TP) announced on the 24th that it had met with the Indonesian Ministry of Industry to discuss in depth ways to expand the entry of Chungcheong region companies into Southeast Asia and to increase local investment.

This meeting was arranged in connection with the '2025 Chungcheong Region SME and Venture Business Expo.'

This expo is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia, for four days from July 22 to July 25. Chungnam TP has organized a group booth at 'FHI 2025,' the largest food, beverage, and service expo in Southeast Asia, with 42 companies participating.

Seo Kyuseok, President of Chungnam TP, said, "I hope this meeting will not be a one-time event, but serve as a starting point for establishing a structural foundation for the stable overseas expansion of Chungcheong region companies."

An official from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry stated, "The technological capabilities and willingness to cooperate shown by Chungcheong region companies align with Indonesia's industrial diversification strategy. We will actively support practical business entry through cooperation between the two countries."

Taking this expo as an opportunity, the Chungcheong region plans to expand its connection with the Southeast Asian market and accelerate the achievement of tangible results in exports and investment by companies.
