Free Admission for "Culture Day" Event
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will host the family musical "Beautiful Gift" at 10:30 a.m. on July 30 at Yeonji Art Hall to mark Culture Day.
According to the city on July 24, this performance is produced by Parangsae Educational Theater Company and features a heartwarming story centered on the love and importance of family.
The stage will be filled with the adventure and coming-of-age story of the main character, Mungchi, who embarks on a journey after receiving a gift left by his mother on his birthday. The performance aims to deliver both empathy and inspiration to children and parents alike.
In particular, the dynamic performances that blend actors and puppets on stage, along with lively direction, are expected to captivate children's attention. Meanwhile, the emotional music and solid storytelling are anticipated to leave a lasting impression on parents as well.
Through this performance, the city aims to provide children with a more accessible opportunity to experience arts and culture, while also offering families a precious time to share emotional connections. The performance is open to all age groups, including children from daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary schools, and admission is free.
A city official stated, "We hope that through this musical, children will have the chance to experience performing arts firsthand and develop their artistic sensibilities," adding, "We will continue to expand culture in citizens' daily lives through a variety of cultural content in the future."
