Upbit Data Lab Adds New Solana and Sui Ecosystem Themed Indices

Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, announced on July 24 that it has newly introduced the 'Solana Ecosystem Index' and the 'Sui Ecosystem Index' to Upbit Data Lab to help investors better understand the market.

Upbit Data Lab Adds New Solana and Sui Ecosystem Themed Indices

Upbit Data Lab provides themed indices that allow users to track the performance of virtual assets by specific topics. Previously, the indices mainly focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum, but with the addition of the Solana Ecosystem Index and the Sui Ecosystem Index, investors can now gain a broader view of various major virtual asset ecosystems.

The two newly introduced indices capture the key trends of the independent virtual asset ecosystems of Solana and Sui. Each index comprehensively reflects the price movements of representative virtual assets that are actively traded within those ecosystems, making it easier for investors to grasp both the overall trends and the performance of major assets in each ecosystem.

The Solana Ecosystem Index is composed of virtual assets that are either developed on the Solana blockchain or play a core role within the Solana ecosystem. It reflects the trends of various assets such as SOL (Solana), TRUMP (OfficialTrump), and PYTH (Pyth Network), including DeFi, infrastructure, and community tokens, all centered around the Solana network, which stands out for its transaction speed and scalability. The index was constructed as a major investment theme, taking into account the recent surge in project activity within the ecosystem and the increasing attention from investors in the market.

Similarly, the Sui Ecosystem Index focuses on the growing scalability and the increasing number of ecosystem-led projects. It provides a snapshot of the price movements of key assets such as SUI (Sui), DEEP (DeepBook), and WAL (Walrus), helping investors identify opportunities in a rapidly changing market environment.

In particular, the Solana Ecosystem Index recorded a 55% increase over the past month, while the Sui Ecosystem Index saw a 57% rise during the same period, indicating that investor interest in ecosystem-themed indices is expected to grow.

Kim Daehyun, Chief Data Officer (CDO) of Dunamu, stated, "Not only Bitcoin and Ethereum, but also Solana and Sui are being closely watched by investors as major virtual asset ecosystems. With the addition of these themed indices, investors can now identify notable assets within each ecosystem and gain a comprehensive view of market trends and risks."

He also added, "Going forward, our goal is to continue expanding our indices around major themes and blockchain ecosystems, so that investors can more easily understand the market and approach it strategically."

Meanwhile, 'Upbit Data Lab' provides a variety of indices to help investors gain a macro perspective on the virtual asset market and easily identify trends based on specific themes or ecosystems. By enabling users to instantly check the changes in the assets that make up each index, it is also useful for discovering new investment opportunities in the market.

In addition to major indices, Upbit Data Lab offers a comprehensive range of indicators, including sector information by asset and blockchain analytics. It is available free of charge to anyone via the Upbit website and mobile app.
