SKT Offers "Half-Price T Roaming" for Overseas Travelers... Three-Week Time Sale

SK Telecom announced on July 24 that it is launching the "T Roaming Coupon Time Sale for Early Planners" promotion, offering roaming coupons at a 50% discount for the summer vacation season.

This promotion will run for three weeks until August 13. Customers can purchase up to two coupons per person online for the four different data capacities available under the baro plan?3GB (29,000 KRW), 6GB (39,000 KRW), 12GB (59,000 KRW), and 24GB (79,000 KRW)?all at 50% off. Coupons must be registered within 18 months of purchase, and can be used for up to one year after registration, making them valid through 2027.

For family travelers, after purchasing at the discounted price, an additional 3,000 KRW allows customers to sign up for Family Roaming and share data with up to five people. For example, if a family of four purchases a 6GB coupon at the discounted rate and subscribes to the Family Roaming plan, each member can use roaming services for approximately 5,625 KRW. According to SKT, Family Roaming has surpassed 3 million cumulative users since its launch in June 2023, and 78% of all roaming households choose the Family Roaming plan.

Promotional coupons can be purchased through the T World application (app) or on the event page of the website. Coupons sent via Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) can be registered and used in the T World app.

baro plan customers can also use T In-flight Wi-Fi for free or at a discounted rate. Customers with the 3GB and 6GB baro plans receive a 20% discount, those with the 12GB plan receive a 50% discount, and those with the 24GB plan can use T In-flight Wi-Fi for free up to two times. This event will run until December. The service is available on selected routes operated by Korean Air, Lufthansa, Air Canada, and Etihad Airways. Customers should check whether their flight offers Wi-Fi service on the T Roaming website or at the airport roaming center before signing up.

In addition, baro plan customers can take advantage of a Naver Pay reward event and the "Club T Roaming" membership benefits for roaming customers. When making payments overseas using Naver Pay's international QR code, customers receive a 10,000 KRW T Roaming discount coupon and 10,000 Naver Pay points. Club T Roaming, which can be accessed through the T Membership app, offers benefits worth 50,000 KRW per person for baro plan customers before and after departure.
