On July 23, Samil PwC, PwC Consulting, and the Samil Future Foundation announced that they have donated 200 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to assist residents affected by the recent heavy rainfall.
This donation will be used for flood recovery efforts in the affected areas and to help displaced residents return to their daily lives.
Yoon Hoonsoo, CEO of Samil PwC, stated, "We extend our deepest sympathies to those displaced by the sudden heavy rains," and added, "We hope this donation will be helpful in the recovery efforts."
Samil PwC, the leading accounting firm in Korea, was the first in the industry to establish a public interest corporation, the Samil Future Foundation, and has actively participated in various initiatives to improve accounting transparency for non-profit organizations and address community issues. In particular, the firm has provided consistent support in the event of natural disasters and emergencies such as heavy rains and earthquakes. In March of this year, Samil PwC provided 150 million KRW for recovery efforts in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, which were affected by wildfires. Previously, in 2023, the company also contributed 150 million KRW to areas impacted by nationwide heavy rains. Additionally, Samil PwC donated 100 million KRW for earthquake recovery in T?rkiye and Syria, and provided 50,000 USD in emergency relief funds to war-affected regions in Ukraine.
