Dongbu Construction Wins 216.6 Billion KRW Road Construction Contract in Vietnam

Construction of Four-Lane Road and 18 Bridges
Total Construction Period: 36 Months

Dongbu Construction has secured a contract for the 'Mian~Caorang Road Construction Project' in Vietnam, commissioned by the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction, with a total value of approximately 216.6 billion KRW.


This project involves the construction of a four-lane road and 18 new bridges over a total length of 26.6 kilometers, as well as ground reinforcement work on soft soil. The total construction cost is about 216.6 billion KRW, with Dongbu Construction serving as the main contractor and leading the entire project. Funding will come from the Export-Import Bank of Korea's EDCF (Economic Development Cooperation Fund) official development assistance (ODA) and the Vietnamese government. The construction period is expected to be approximately 36 months.

Dongbu Construction expects this project to contribute to improving the transportation network and increasing logistics efficiency in the Mekong Delta region. The company plans to establish an 'infrastructure hub' that connects the region's economy and society through the Mian~Caorang road.


Dongbu Construction has recently been awarded a series of road construction projects in Vietnam. Currently, the company is working on the 'Tan Van~Nhon Trach Road Construction Section 2' project, which connects Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province. In addition, in 2023, Dongbu Construction expanded its market presence in Central and South America by winning the 'Los Chorros Bridge and Road Expansion Project' in El Salvador.


A Dongbu Construction representative stated, "This contract is the result of the trust and differentiated technical capabilities we have built up locally," adding, "We will continue to demonstrate world-class construction capabilities in quality, safety, and environmental management, and promote the excellence of Korean construction technology worldwide."
