Daedong Accelerates Reconstruction of Ukrainian Agriculture with MOU Signed with Ministry of Agriculture

Establishing a Mid- to Long-Term Cooperation Framework
for the Reconstruction of Ukrainian Agriculture and Development of Local Talent

Daedong announced on July 23 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for agricultural machinery training and technical support, thereby initiating a mid- to long-term cooperation framework for the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine's agricultural sector.

This MOU was established to enable both parties to gradually promote cooperation in agricultural vocational training and technical support in order to support the mechanization and sustainable development of Ukraine's agriculture. The two sides agreed to nurture local talent through advanced agricultural machinery training and to jointly promote the development of modern agricultural technologies and the establishment of technical standards.

Under the agreement, Daedong will provide educational content on the use of modern Korean agricultural machinery to educational institutions under the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture. When related training programs are operated locally, the company plans to offer practical support such as dispatching instructors and providing technical consulting. In addition, as part of this cooperation, Daedong will donate one of its tractors to each of six local universities to support hands-on training and the establishment of technical standards in the field.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture will be responsible for administrative support for the implementation of the cooperation program, including the selection of educational institutions, and will oversee smooth cooperation with relevant local governments and organizations. The ministry also intends to actively establish institutional foundations to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the program.

By supporting the postwar recovery of Ukrainian agriculture and enhancing productivity through automation and mechanization, Daedong has established a foundation for expanding strategic partnerships with the local government and industry. The company expects that this agreement will not only raise the brand awareness of 'KIOTI,' but also lead to various mid- to long-term business opportunities, including participation in future agricultural projects, collaboration with government initiatives, and strengthening its position in the market.

Daedong CEO Won Yuhyun stated, "This agreement marks a joint starting point with Ukraine, which is at a critical turning point in postwar reconstruction, to explore the future direction of agriculture and achieve tangible results. Through on-site support, Daedong will contribute to the structural recovery and establishment of a self-sustaining foundation for Ukrainian agriculture."
