Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on July 23 that it has launched two types of stick-type jelly hangover remedies, 'Hutgae Power Stick'.

This new product contains a variety of ingredients, including 540mg of Hutgae tree fruit extract concentrate, 2.8mg of cycloalliin, 1 billion cells of heat-killed lactic acid bacteria, and 100mg of taurine. In human application tests, it showed a significant improvement in hangover symptoms starting from 15 minutes after alcohol consumption.


Hutgae Power Stick is released in a jelly-type stick form, enhancing portability and convenience. The chewy texture and fun of biting into it also reflect the preferences of younger consumers. It is available in two flavors, grape and mango, allowing consumers to choose according to their taste.


The product package features the official mascots of the police, 'Podori & Posuni'. The phrase 'Caught the hangover!' is included to convey the message of 'cracking down' on hangovers after drinking, delivering a sense of friendliness and fun to consumers. This is a public interest promotion using the Podori & Posuni characters through an official collaboration with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.


To celebrate the launch of the new product, a purchase certification event will also be held. By scanning the QR code included in the product, consumers can participate in various prize giveaway events.


A representative from Kwangdong Pharmaceutical said, "This hangover remedy is easy and delicious to consume, featuring a chewy texture and refreshing taste," and added, "Through the collaboration campaign with Podori and Posuni, we plan to foster social empathy as well as brand trust."


Meanwhile, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical also plans to run a 'Safe Drinking Culture Campaign with Podori & Posuni' through digital content linked to its own social media channels. By combining the symbolism of the mascots with the hangover-relieving image of Hutgae Power Stick, the company expects to contribute to the establishment of a proper drinking culture.
