'Water play facilities' refer to artificial installations such as fountains, ponds, waterfalls, and artificial streams that store and circulate tap water or groundwater, where users can directly come into contact with water for recreational purposes. Currently, there are 90 water play facilities installed and operating within Siheung City.

If significant violations such as exceeding water quality standards are found during the inspection, the city will take administrative measures in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Previously, on July 22, the city conducted a joint inspection with Gyeonggi Province at water play facilities in apartment complexes in the Janggokdong area. The joint inspection focused on verifying whether the facilities were properly reported for installation and operation, as well as compliance with water quality and management standards.

Choi Yoonjung, head of Siheung City's Environmental Policy Division, stated, "Through thorough inspections and systematic management, we will provide a pleasant and safe water play environment where citizens can enjoy themselves with peace of mind."
