On July 23, LG Uplus announced the launch of its "Foreigners-Only Promotion Plan" designed for foreign residents in Korea. The plan consists of a total of seven options, with monthly fees ranging from 37,000 won to 85,000 won. It offers foreign customers tailored benefits, including up to 90 minutes of free international calls and double the roaming data when traveling abroad. In particular, there are special youth benefits for foreign customers in their 20s and 30s, providing up to 60GB of additional data.

The plan is available to customers who possess a foreign registration card, and the subscription period runs until December 29. LG Uplus plans to simplify the subscription process in response to the increasing number of foreign customers, and to enhance convenience for international students by collaborating with major universities such as Hanyang University, Inha University, and Kangwon National University. Additionally, the company is strengthening its support for foreign customers by designating 67 stores in areas with high concentrations of foreigners as specialized stores, providing subscription documents in 17 languages, and operating approximately 170 foreign language consultants. LG Uplus aims to accelerate its market expansion by positioning foreign customers as a new growth engine.
