On July 22, following the launch of its bagged ramen in June, the Daejeon city government held a "Kkumdori Ramen Cup Noodles Tasting and Evaluation Event" at the Cheongsol Hall in the cafeteria on the first floor of City Hall, entering the final stage of confirming the taste of its cup noodles.

This event was organized in the form of a tasting session to enhance the quality of the cup noodle version of "Kkumdori Ramen," which was launched as a bagged ramen in June and received positive reviews.

On this day, a diverse group of participants, including Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon; Cho Wonhee, Chairman of the Daejeon City Council; Lee Changki, President of the Daejeon Design Promotion Agency; Kim Yongwon, Executive Director of Daejeon Tourism Organization; Park Gyunik, Chairman of IC Food Co., Ltd.; city officials; and members of the city press corps, attended the event to taste and evaluate the ramen themselves.

The cup noodles introduced at the event are beef-flavored, just like the original bagged ramen, and uniquely include Korea's only "spice level control soup." Participants evaluated the product on various criteria, including taste, aroma, umami, and overall preference.

Feedback from the tasting indicated that the spiciness helped offset the greasy taste typical of ramen. In particular, the rich beef broth was highlighted as a standout feature.

Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "About 600,000 units of Kkumdori Ramen have been sold as of last week, and although it is before the Daejeon 0 O'Clock Festival in August, we expect sales to approach one million units this month. Store owners at GS25 are asking us to increase supply because products are running out. Demand is extremely high."

Meanwhile, based on the results of this tasting and evaluation, the Daejeon city government plans to finalize the flavor of the cup noodles, complete the design and packaging, and officially launch the product in September.
