Hyundai Motor Group Signs Agreement with Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy
to Provide Official Protocol Vehicles for International Ministerial Meetings
Hyundai Motor Group will provide official protocol vehicles for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Ministers' Meeting and the Clean Energy and Mission Innovation Ministerial Meetings.
On July 22, Hyundai Motor Group signed an agreement with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang to support vehicles for the 15th APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting, the 16th Clean Energy Ministerial, and the 10th Mission Innovation Ministerial, all of which will be held in Busan in August. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Dongwook, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Group, and Lee Hohyun, Second Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Hyundai Motor Group will provide 63 eco-friendly vehicles, including 34 units of The All-New NEXO, 12 units of the G80 Electrified model, 14 units of the EV9, and 3 units of the Universe hydrogen electric bus. These vehicles will be used to support protocol and events for key figures from various countries. The meetings are expected to be attended by energy ministers and government delegations from about 40 countries, as well as key officials from international organizations.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to provide hydrogen and electric vehicle models as protocol vehicles for the three ministerial meetings, aiming to showcase the outstanding quality of its eco-friendly vehicles and to share its vision for a sustainable future.
In particular, this will be the first time that hydrogen electric vehicles are used as protocol vehicles for high-level officials at a major international event. Hyundai Motor Group plans to provide The All-New NEXO as protocol vehicles, thereby strengthening the company's global presence and raising international awareness of hydrogen vehicles.
