Participation in the NICAB Workshop
High Interest in Korean Research Equipment with Excellent Price Competitiveness Relative to Technological Capabilities
Ten research equipment companies from Daejeon are targeting Indonesia, aiming to supply equipment with global-level performance at reasonable prices.
To this end, ten Daejeon-based research equipment companies will participate in the "2025 NICAB (National Instrumentation Center for Agriculture & Bioscience) Workshop," which will be held in Bogor, Indonesia from July 23 to 25.
This workshop is an international event for technology exchange and commercialization, hosted by NICAB at IPB University in Indonesia. Key government agencies such as the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Technology and the National Research and Innovation Agency, as well as major science and technology research institutes, will jointly participate.
Indonesia is currently an emerging market actively expanding its research infrastructure and modernizing its equipment. There is reportedly high interest in Korean-made research equipment, which offers strong price competitiveness relative to its technological capabilities. This is considered a favorable market environment for Daejeon-based research equipment companies.
The event will feature ten research equipment companies, including Daintech, Bioneer, CHC Lab, Ibeam Technology, YNDK, J O Tech, GT Science, K Lab, COSEM, and Teltron. These companies plan to demonstrate their products and secure validation opportunities through technical presentations, exhibition booths, and business meetings with local institutions.
Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, stated, "Daejeon, as the science capital, is the core hub of South Korea's research equipment industry. This entry into Indonesia is strategically significant in terms of technology validation and the development of demand-tailored distribution models. We will actively seek opportunities to expand into the entire Southeast Asian region by using this as a strategic point for practical technology exports and distribution network expansion."
