Comprehensive Promotion of Festivals, Local Specialties, and Tourist Attractions Expected

Jindo County in South Jeolla Province has appointed actor Choi Yejin as its promotional ambassador, stepping up efforts to promote the local brand.
On July 22, Jindo County announced that it had officially appointed veteran actor Choi Yejin, who is affiliated with Fantagio, as the promotional ambassador for Jindo County on July 21.
Since debuting in the 2006 film "Blue Bicycle," Choi Yejin has appeared in numerous dramas and films, including "Seodongyo," "Dong Yi," "Queen of Housewives," "Gyebaek," "Yi San," "Horse Doctor," and "Guam Heo Jun," building a familiar image with the public. Recently, she has also been active as a model for the "Jindo County K-Food Industrialization Project."
The Jindo County promotional ambassador is responsible for widely promoting both domestically and internationally the region's major festivals, such as the "Mystic Sea Road Festival," "Myeongnyang Battle Festival," and "Jindo Dog Festival," as well as local agricultural and marine specialties including abalone, seaweed, Hongju, green onions, and turmeric, and tourist attractions such as Unrimsanbang, Sebang Sunset, Jindo Bridge, and Jindo Tower.
In her acceptance speech, Choi said, "It is an honor to take on such a meaningful role to widely promote the charm and value of Jindo County," adding, "I will work to effectively publicize Jindo County's cultural, tourism, and industrial assets through various activities in the future."
Governor Kim Heesoo stated, "Choi Yejin's friendly and trustworthy image will greatly contribute to enhancing the brand value of Jindo County," and added, "I hope she will comprehensively promote the beautiful treasure island of Jindo and its pristine local specialties."
