A Total of Eight Graduates Join Kia Motors in the First Half of This Year
Success Continues in Securing Positions at Major Corporations
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on July 22 that two graduates from the Department of Electric Vehicles have been officially hired through the '2025 Kia Motors Technical Internship K' recruitment program.
Earlier in February, six graduates from the Department of Electric Vehicles were hired as production engineers at Kia Motors. With the addition of these two new interns, a total of eight graduates from the department have joined Kia Motors as of the first half of this year.
The 'Kia Motors Technical Internship K' is a recruitment program in which participants undergo eight weeks of education and hands-on training at the Kia Osan Training Center and service centers nationwide. Upon completion, successful trainees are offered full-time positions.
Among the Dong-Eui Institute of Technology graduates, Jeong Gideok (Class of 2018) and Kim Donggeon (Class of 2019) completed the internship and have been converted to full-time employees.
Graduate Lee Donggeon shared, "The department courses and obtaining certifications were a great help in preparing for employment, and the scholarship I received through the Busan BB21+ program was a significant support."
Professor Kim Manho of the Department of Electric Vehicles stated, "Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is demonstrating the model of a specialized college that competes on capability, not just a four-year university brand. We will continue to foster outstanding talent based on the best educational environment in the southeastern region."
Since its establishment in 1995, the Department of Electric Vehicles at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has produced over 5,000 automotive professionals and is currently carrying out various national projects such as the Busan 'BB21+ Eco-Friendly Automotive Workforce Development Project,' the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Work-Learning Dual System,' and the 'Cheonghaejin College Project.'
