Capturing the Plump Texture and Rich Flavor of Shrimp
Ottogi announced on July 22 that it has launched a new product, "X.O. Water Dumplings Shrimp," under its premium dumpling brand "X.O."
"X.O. Water Dumplings Shrimp" is the second water dumpling product following the "X.O. Water Dumplings" introduced in 2022. It features a chewy texture with plump shrimp pieces and a rich shrimp aroma that fills the mouth. The dumplings are filled with moist filling inside a soft wrapper, delivering deep umami flavor, while the wrapper itself is chewy and resistant to becoming soggy. The dumplings can be easily enjoyed by boiling them in water for five minutes, and they can also be used in a variety of dishes such as dumpling soup or dumpling hot pot, depending on personal preference.
Following the launch of "X.O. Gyoza Shrimp & Red Crab Meat" in 2019, Ottogi aims to further strengthen its position as a leading brand for shrimp dumplings with the release of "X.O. Water Dumplings Shrimp." The product is currently available at various offline stores and online channels, including Ottogi Mall.
An Ottogi representative stated, "'X.O. Water Dumplings Shrimp' is a premium product that fully captures the texture, flavor, and umami of shrimp," adding, "We plan to continue introducing a variety of products through the 'X.O. Dumpling' brand."
Meanwhile, Ottogi's "X.O. Dumpling" brand, first introduced in 2019, stands for "eXtra Ordinary" and is a premium dumpling brand that delivers rich flavor and texture by filling the dumplings with carefully selected ingredients such as meat, seafood, and vegetables, without using glass noodles. The current "X.O. Dumpling" lineup includes gyoza, rolled dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, shumai, hand-made dumplings, potato rice cake dumplings, and dim sum.
