As legal disputes between companies over management rights defense, fair trade, and trade secrets have been increasing recently, Dongin Law Firm has established the Corporate Law Center. The Corporate Law Center at Dongin is composed of attorneys who have accumulated diverse experience as corporate lawyers while working at Samsung Group for over a decade.
According to the legal community on July 23, Dongin has been providing legal advisory and litigation services for various corporate legal disputes since establishing the Corporate Law Center in August 2023.
The center is headed by Attorney Wookjae Jin. Jin worked at Samsung Networks and Samsung SDS for 13 years, handling major litigation cases. The center also includes Attorney Seongrak Son, who served as head of the legal team at Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display for 17 years; Attorney Byungju Kim, who was responsible for corporate governance and M&A at Samsung Electronics; Attorney Jungwon Ryu, who previously served as chief prosecutor of the Criminal Division 3 at Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office; and Deokwoo Seo, a foreign attorney licensed in Virginia, USA.
Based on their expertise in handling corporate legal disputes on the industrial front lines, the center is highly regarded for presenting optimal scenarios that enable corporate clients to minimize legal risks within an appropriate budget, resulting in high client satisfaction.
The center also provides one-stop services to corporate clients, acting as an in-house legal team and covering everything from the initial stages of transactions such as M&A contracts to post-dispute responses. Notably, all key members of the center hold foreign attorney qualifications, enabling them to respond to the growing number of global disputes between companies.
Attorney Wookjae Jin stated, "The Corporate Law Center can be seen as the family medicine department of a hospital. When a legal dispute arises for a company, we serve as the first point of contact to provide basic legal advice, and if in-depth discussion is required, we plan to leverage Dongin's talent pool of 180 professionals to deliver tailored support."
