According to the men's weekly world golf rankings announced on July 21 (local time), Scheffler received 20.2522 points, widening the gap with second-ranked Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland, 11.5563 points). The gap, which was 6.5861 points last week, has now increased to 8.6959 points.


On the previous day, Scheffler achieved a commanding four-stroke victory at The Open, the season's final major tournament, held at Royal Portrush Golf Club (par 71) in Portrush, Northern Ireland. Following his win at the Memorial Tournament last month, this marked his fourth PGA Tour victory of the season and the 17th of his career.


Xander Schauffele is ranked third, Justin Thomas is fourth, and Russell Henley (all United States) maintained their positions in third to fifth place. The Open runner-up Harris English (United States) jumped from 19th last week to 8th. Among Korean players, Im Sungjae is ranked 28th, An Byeonghun is 51st, Kim Joo-hyung is 62nd, and Kim Siwoo is 64th.
