Gijang County in Busan Begins Applications for First Round of Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons... Up to 430,000 Won in Support

Applications Accepted by Birth Year Day System Starting July 21
Available Both Online and Offline, with Home Visit Application Service

Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced that it will officially begin accepting applications for the first round of "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons" starting July 21, as part of efforts to revitalize the local economy.

This initiative is being implemented in accordance with government policy to boost sales for small business owners and stabilize the lives of county residents.

All residents of the county are eligible to receive the coupons, with the amounts differentiated by income level: general residents will receive 180,000 won, those in the near-poverty group and single-parent families will receive 330,000 won, and basic livelihood security recipients will receive 430,000 won.

To ensure smooth implementation of the program, Gijang County established the "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Task Force Team" on July 9, which is systematically handling everything from application to post-management. A dedicated call center is also in operation to respond to residents' inquiries in real time.

The first application period runs from July 21 to September 12. From July 21 to 25, applications will be accepted on designated days based on the last digit of applicants' birth years: 21st (years ending in 1 or 6), 22nd (2 or 7), 23rd (3 or 8), 24th (4 or 9), and 25th (5 or 0).

Applications can be submitted both online and offline. Online applications are available through the Dongbaekjeon app, each credit card company's website, app, call center, or ARS. Offline applications can be made at partner bank branches or local administrative welfare centers. For offline prepaid card applications, residents of Gijang-eup can apply at the Daehappyhan General Social Welfare Center (Gyori), while residents of other towns or townships can apply at their local administrative welfare centers.

In addition, a "visiting application" service is available for seniors and people with disabilities. If requested at the local administrative welfare center, an official will visit the applicant's home to assist with the application process.

Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "I hope these consumption coupons will serve as a catalyst for the local economy, providing much-needed relief to small business owners and tangible support to household finances. We will do our utmost to ensure prompt and transparent distribution through the operation of the task force team and call center."

The consumption coupons can be used at small businesses in Busan with annual sales of 3 billion won or less. Participating merchants will be provided with a "Consumption Coupon Accepted Here" sticker, which can be obtained at the administrative welfare center in the area where the business is located, or at the Daehappyhan General Social Welfare Center in the case of Gijang-eup.

The second round of consumption coupon distribution will begin after September 22, with specific dates and details to be announced separately.
