The Gwangju-Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (hereafter referred to as Gwangju-Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae) announced on the 21st that it will conduct a special fundraising campaign for one month, until August 17, to support victims and affected regions suffering from record-breaking torrential rains.
This recent heavy rainfall caused significant damage, with nearly 100mm of rain per hour falling mainly in the Jeolla, Chungcheong, and Gyeongnam regions. Donations to this special fundraising campaign can be made through dedicated accounts for Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae and Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae. For inquiries about donations, individuals can contact Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae or Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae.
Gwangju-Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae plans to distribute the funds collected through this special campaign via the National Disaster Relief Association, using them to support disaster victims.
