Gyeongbuk Technical High School (Principal Lee Joongu) announced on July 17 that it had signed an academic and educational cooperation agreement with AutoForm Engineering Korea, a global mold engineering software company.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Joongu, Principal of Gyeongbuk Technical High School; Cho Youngbin, CEO of AutoForm Engineering Korea; Hyun Daeyong, Director of Ajin Industry; Hong Seokhoon, CEO of ADE; Choi Geunmuk, Supervisor at Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education; Lee Seonju, Member of the Dalseo District Council; as well as about 20 students and faculty members participating in the educational program.
Gyeongbuk Technical High School is holding the opening ceremony of the Smart Mold Talent Development Center.
Under this agreement, AutoForm Engineering Korea will provide Gyeongbuk Technical High School with 20 sets of press mold software valued at 50 billion KRW and five instructor positions free of charge for five years.
The Precision Machinery Department at Gyeongbuk Technical High School has established the Smart Mold Talent Development Center, creating an industry-academia cooperation system in which students who complete the mold training program are recruited by Ajin Industry. This marks the largest educational support project in the school's history.
Lee Joongu, Principal of Gyeongbuk Technical High School, stated, "Swiss company AutoForm Engineering, a global leader, has chosen Gyeongbuk Technical High School as the first high school in the world to sign such an agreement. This will serve as a leading model for industry-academia cooperation, with Ajin Industry hiring graduates who have completed the training program."
