On July 21, the first day of the livelihood recovery consumption coupon distribution, Jeonnam Governor Kim Youngrok visited the Bujudong Community Center in Mokpo, where he encouraged staff, communicated with residents, and inspected the site in person.
Residents who visited the site to apply for the consumption coupons expressed the expectation that "the consumption coupon support will greatly help household finances and increase sales for small business owners."
Governor Kim stated, "I hope that residents will apply for and use the livelihood recovery consumption coupons quickly, so that the payments can promptly lead to increased sales for small business owners and the self-employed. The provincial government will also ensure rapid distribution through services such as on-site application assistance, so that this policy can serve as a catalyst for local economic recovery."
This livelihood recovery consumption coupon is being distributed to promote consumption and expand sales for small business owners and the self-employed. Depending on income level, each resident will receive between 180,000 and 550,000 won in the form of regional gift certificates, prepaid cards, or credit/debit card points. As a measure to support the recovery of the local economy, the first application period for the consumption coupon runs from July 21 to September 12.
